We travel A LOT for work and almost always use Booking.com for our stays. When we leave reviews we always do so thinking of other travelers who have spent a long day on the road so we are always as honest as we can be, good or bad, about the place we are leaving a review for. I can honestly say, without question, this is one of the FINEST hotels we have ever stayed at throughout the SC, NC and FL area around the $100 price point. We were especially delighted because we had driven five hours earlier in the day to drop our son off for his summer program at Clemson and then spent the day driving to visit our distributors and were spent around 7:00 pm. We looked on Booking and this was the only reasonably priced stay that have available rooms and it was only four minutes from our last stop so we booked it. We could not believe how nice it was in the lobby. These folks have a beautiful facility. We have spent $100 and ended up in places under construction, or right next to train tracks or with really grimy rooms... but this place was incredible for the money. The rooms was very clean and comfortable. The shower was fantastic and had dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash built right in. The location is EXTREMELY quiet and it is not a "motel" but has interior hotel entry ways. Both the night time and day time staff were great. And after 14 hours on the road I can't tell you how happy I was to be able to buy two Modelos from their sundry shop downstairs. To top it all off, unlike most places that advertise a "continental" breakfast and then have just small boxes of Cheerios and stale bagels, this place had real scrambled eggs, sausages, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, a Sunkist juice machine and a very fancy coffee machine that offered different blends as well as lattes. We couldn't have been more impressed with the breakfast, especially when matched up against other hotels at this price point.

My reservation was confirmed online, but when I got to the hotel the attendant said my card was declined and she couldn't move any further. I believe her name was Lisa and she was extremely pleasant and courteous she tried all she could to get to the bottom of it and after nearly an hour I was able to check in. She assured me everything went through and that mu card wouldn't have been charged multiple times. The room was very clean it didn't have a phone and thw bathroom floor had previously been damaged as well as the TV stand but overall it was a very pleasant stay. Lisa's customer service was superb.

The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The room was very clean and the location was also great! The mattress on the bed was 5 years past needing replaced. I slept on a spring that was popping up for two nights. They have a bed cover that's thick and it didn't do the job. The breakfast is mediocre at best.

Brenda

Beds were super comfortable! Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent with many options to choose from. Staff was attentive to assist and kept things clean. There was ample space to accommodate guests with a variety of seating options from 2-seat tables to informal bar.

Magdalena

This is the best value in Traveler's Rest! The room was comfortable and the staff is always courteous and helpful. We have stayed here twice and would stay again in the future. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Check in and check out is always quick!
